Product Overview
HiPath 3800 is Siemens' digital PBX designed for small and medium-sized enterprises, featuring multimedia capabilities of an IP PBX. It offers a variety of digital, analog, and IP trunk and user line interfaces. At the terminal side, it uses optiPoint series digital phones, with function levels configurable per workstation.
The system consists of a base unit and expansion units. Inserting different interface modules into the slots allows you to change the number and type of interfaces. The two data buses support resource sharing, enabling the expansion unit to share resources with the base unit. The processor uses an IBM communications chip and features a fanless design, making it suitable for long-term operation in standard office server rooms.
