OpenScape Business X8
Unified Communication Server for Mid- to Large-Sized Enterprises
Siemens

Product Overview
OpenScape Business X8 is part of the Unify (Siemens) OpenScape Business suite of unified communications servers. It integrates PBX, unified communications, voicemail, and contact center capabilities into a single system. Digital user interfaces support legacy digital handsets, while IP users access softphones and IP endpoints over the network.
The system is licensed in tiers: UC Smart covers basic online presence, mobile clients, and voicemail needs; UC Suite adds desktop/Outlook clients, full voicemail, and MyAgent agent capabilities. The primary difference across scales is the number of digital user interfaces.

When deploying with an existing fleet of digital handsets, configure based on 384 digital user lines; new workstations will use IP endpoints. If the scale is within 200 workstations and digital handsets are limited, X5R offers a more cost-effective solution.
